You are fearfully and wonderfully made. God made you to be you. God is not calling for your imitation of someone else. He loves you just the way you are. Yes, with all your imperfections and all your mess. He knows we are a hot mess. He created us! King David was a hot mess and look what God did with him. Won’t He do it!! God said, “You are fearfully and wonderfully made.” He is not interested in seeing you imitate someone else. He just wants you to be the best you that you can be.
Can you imagine watching a television show and someone is imitating you and doing a poor job at it? That is what we do when we admire someone and try to be them. We do a poor job of trying to be someone that we were never meant to be. Let God empower you to be all that He has called you to be.
